Sunday Stamping: Halloween

Just ten days left until the spooky day of Halloween so it is no surprise that the popular vote for this week's Sunday Stamping challenge in Adventure is Stamping is a Halloween themed manicure. I chose to skip the really dark and scary for today and go for cute instead. The idea for the manicure came from the fact that we are having some friends over later today to carve pumpkins. It only seemed fitting that I dig up all the jack-o-lantern images to play with for inspiration...

The base of this manicure is two coats of OPI Don't Talk Bach to Me. The pumpkins were stamped with OPI A Roll in the Hague, which I have to say stamps perfectly over light colors. I added /colored in the stems of the pumpkins using green acrylic paint. Stamping plates used for the pumpkins are Shany SH02 (index), Red Angel RA-119 (middle), Bundle Monster BM-222 (ring), BM-305 (pinkie)....

I wasn't pleased with the pumpkins just "floating" on my nails, so I added a bit of ground under them by sponging the tips with Sally Hansen Coco a-go-go. The black kitty happened to like my pumpkin patch and decided to sit on my ring finger. The image comes from Shany plate SH08 and was stamped using Essence I Love My Jeans....

Let me know what you think of it! I hope you like it as much as I do. :)

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

  1. I love this mani! Perfect color combination!

  2. I love this! So cute!

I forgot to go to the pumpkin farm this year! Last year we were late too, and ended up not getting anything as all the pumpkins they had were the weird shaped ones, lol!

  3. The back kitten is so cute sitting next to the pumpkin :)) Great idea!

  4. Omg HOW CUUUTE! I need to get my hands on some pumpkin stamps :P

  5. Really cute - thought this base was called "Don't Talk Bach To Me." Bach as in the composer - I do see others referring to it as Back sometimes however - it was not a shade I picked up because I knew I would not be able to pull it off on my skin tone - though I wanted to give it a try - it sure works here for stamping.

  6. I'm not super impressed by stamping, HOWEVER these are pretty stinkin cute.

  7. @Boba, thank you so very much! I'm glad you like the colors!

@The Polish Rainbow, it was fun to do something a little less spooky and creepy for halloween :D

@Jamie, thank you so much!! :)

@Angie, I'm so glad you like it! We didn't get to go this year either. The weather just turned bad so quickly :(

@Mari, The kitten may be my favorite part as well. He looks so peaceful among the pumpkins! Thank you :)

@Steamy nails, Thank you so much! I hope you do find some. They are fund to play with :)

@beachgal, You are right, it is supposed to be Bach, I have fixed it. Sometimes I get a bit carried away. I'm glad you like it :)

@Mani, thank you so much! It means a lot to me that you like this despite not being a fan of stamping :)

  8. Such a cool look, and I love your different pumpkin stamps! I think the different pumpkins on different fingers give it that something extra. :)

  9. @GaffoRama, Thank you so much! I'm so glad that you like the pumpkins. I have to agree that it wouldn't look as fun if all the pumpkins were the same :)

    @Tina, thank you!

I love getting comments and reading what you have to say! So don't be shy... comment! :D
