Hi Lovelies!
I haven't been feeling well lately and have as a result given myself permission to royally slack off. As I further procrastinate cleaning the house, I finally took the time to sort through the remaining photos from my nail art experiments with the Glam Polish Gobblefunk Shimmers. I've shown you two other manicures featuring the five shades glamorous shades of the collection here and here. For this manicure, I combined them with some gold stamping...

Black & White
Hi Lovelies!
I have recently had the pleasure of trying out a few stamping plates from Lina Nail Art Supplies, the newest player to hit the stamping community by storm. More nail art with them, as you can expect, is coming up. I decided for my first manicure, it would be fitting to pair it up with a new to me brand of indie polish named O-My Jewels for a classic black & white manicure.

Adding Accents
Hi Everyone!
After a couple of days of wear, I just couldn't resist adding a bit of stamping to my glitter gradient. Although rather impractical, since it was my day off from work, I decided to play around with adding some dimension in the form of tiny bullion beads and pearls. I may have gotten a bit carried away, but it was definitely worth it...

Lacy Pink
Hello Lovelies!
I recently purchased a handful of beautiful Major Dijit stamping plates through a group buy on Facebook. As with all group buys, they took a while to finally arrive and I couldn't wait to play with them as soon as they were in my greedy little paws. The Major Dijit plates are chock full of lacy patterns and settling on which one to try first was the most taxing portion of creating the manicure. I chose to pair it with a bright pink by Dazzle Dry from their Summer 2015 Over the Rainbow collection. It is just slightly ironic that with Summer almost over, I'm finally digging into the Summer shades. Maybe a bit of wishful thinking, hoping that the sunshine lasts just a bit longer?

Zelena Slime
Hello Everyone!
Today I've got a drippy, slimy manicure to share with you. Inspired by the green Glam Polish shade which is part of the upcoming COVEN collection based on our favorite TV and film witches. Slime just seems to fit the witchy theme, does it not? I had a lot of fun with this manicure and it would be perfect for Halloween. Can't believe that it's almost around the corner again. It will sneak up on us before we know it...

Up in Flames!
Good Morning Lovelies!
I feel as though it's been ages since I've done something "edgier" on my nails, but with Glam Polish lacquer names such as Devil in Disguise and Burning Love, I truly could not resist the temptation of having flames at my fingertips...

Wish Upon a Star
Hi Everyone! Today I would like to show you a manicure that I created shortly before my blogging break. I had been playing around with UberChic plates and preparing my review of them (which is still in the works) when I came up with this. One of the images that I really loved is this skyline with stars. I can see it used in may different ways and right now I imagine it over a sunset gradient with black stamping. At the time that I wore this, it was still winter and somehow the black night sky was more my mood than a warm spring/summer sunset...

Zoya Wishes Collection Swatches and Review
Hello Lovelies! I'm super late in reviewing the Zoya Wishes collection for Winter 2014, but at least it is still Winter and that has to count for something, right? Hopefully you will forgive me because I'm really excited to show you this beautiful collection. It consists of three textured PixieDust shades and three cream/shimmer shades in coordinating colors...

Champagne Bubbles!
Hi Everyone! I hope you are have a great day today preparing to greet the new year! I have not had the energy nor the mood to paint my nails for the past week, but I'm hoping that will change today. I want to have something special for tonight's celebration. In the mean time, I would like to show you a manicure that I created a while back that reminds me of bubbles of champagne. Perfect for the occasion...

Polished by KPT Light Years Spiral
Hi Lovelies! Today I would like to show you a manicure that I created while playing around with the the Polished by KPT Cosmic XOdus collection. I couldn't get enough of this silver holo glitter bomb so I decided to try accenting it with a bit of mesmerizing stamping.

Tutorial: Racing Stripes
Hi Lovelies! As promised, I've got a tutorial for my last manicure to show you today. It is a quite simple look when you break it down and I hope that will encourage you to play around with striping tape as well. Whether it is this arrangement, one from a previous tutorial or something you create on your own. Give it a try and remember to have fun!
Supplies
Instructions
Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
Supplies
- 3 polishes of your choice. Shown here OPI Coca-Cola Red, My Signature is "DC" (silver) and Today I Accomplished Zero (black jelly with red glitter)
- Striping tape of any color (I purchased mine on Ebay, but there are lots of other places to get it!)
Instructions
- Paint your nails the desired base color and allow it to dry completely.
- You can speed this up by using a quick dry top coat or drops
- Arrange striping tape as shown above.
- For my thumb, I used a similar chevron arrangement as on my ring finger, but a simple stripe would work just as well.
- Using the silver polish, paint in between the two sections of striping tape.
- Remove the striping tape closest to the cuticles while the polish is still wet to ensure a clean line, but leave the other piece(s) of striping tape in place.
- Apply the glitter polish covering the nail tips up to the remaining striping tape.
- Remove the striping tape while the polish is still wet.
- Add a top coat to seal in your work and enjoy!!
I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! Please don't hesitate to ask questions and let me know what you think of this!
Thanks for looking!

Tutorial: Simple Stripes
Hi Lovelies! How about a throw back Thursday post for you today? This is a tutorial for a manicure that I showed you back in April of this year and somehow just never got around to posting the tutorial. I guess I need to dig deeper through my archives and see what else I've forgotten to post. Shame on me!
Supplies:
Instructions:
Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
Supplies:
- 2 polishes. I used OPI 4 in the Morning and Over & Over A-Gwen
- Striping tape (any color). I purchased the striping tape that I use on Ebay.
Instructions:
- Apply desired base color and allow it to dry completely. Shown here is OPI 4 in the Morning.
- Arrange 4-5 short segments of striping tape to each nail in a random crisscrossing pattern.
- Apply the 2nd polish shade over the entire nail (making a mess as I did is optional!). I used OPI Over and Over A-Gwen for my red shade.
- Quickly remove the striping tape before the polish has started to dry to ensure clean lines
- Clean up the cuticles if needed, seal with a top coat and enjoy!
I hope you find this simple tutorial helpful!
Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

31DC2013 Day 30 - Inspired by a Tutorial
Turns out today is 2 for 1 day because I'm really wanting to finish up the 31 Day Nail Challenge. Day 30 of the challenge calls to create a manicure inspired by a tutorial. I chose to try my hand at a quatrefoil print by Christabell Nails. I first saw her tutorial on Instagram, but she does have an extended version on YouTube as well which is what I would suggest you check out. It is so simple to create this look using just two shades of polish, a dotting tool and a small brush. Who could have imagined...

31DC2013 Day 28 - Inspired by a Flag
Hi Lovelies! Today I'm forging ahead to Day 28 of the 31 Day Nail Challenge. The theme for today is a manicure inspired by a flag. I had a tough time deciding on a design for this one mainly because I was pretty set against recreating a country flag. I started racking my brain for other creative flag ideas and I was coming up blank. It wasn't until I saw the Messy Mansion stamping plate innocently hanging out on my table waving it's little pirate flag that inspiration hit!

31DC2013 Day 24 - Inspired by a Book
Today I would like to show you my manicure for Day 24 of the 31 Day Challenge. Now some of you might be thinking "Day 24? What happened to Days 1-23?" so let me explain. Days 1-23 are way back in September of last year when I started this challenge. I lost steam after the first three weeks and at the time thought I would finish up "soon". Well somehow "soon" turned into a full year and probably would have been even longer if a whole bunch of talented nail art bloggers and fanatics weren't in the midst of doing this challenge AGAIN! I thought for me this would be the perfect time for me to pick up where I left off and post my challenges along with them. Hopefully that will keep me motivated to complete the challenge and get that nagging voice out of my head that keeps reminding me that I left something unfinished.
The challenge for Day 24 is to create a manicure inspired by a book. I chose a fun little book titled, Everything Men Know About Women. As you can see, I was inspired by the cover because (SPOILER ALERT) all the pages in this book are blank and somehow plain white nails didn't seem like much of a challenge...

Coca-Cola by OPI Collection Swatches and Review
Hi Everyone! Today I would like to share with you my swatches and review of the OPI Coca-Cola collection. I've had my little paws on this collection for quite a while now, but the darker hues scream Fall to me and I was rather reluctant to try them out during the hot Summer months. Now with occasional cooler days in the mix, it seems the perfect time to rock these beauties...

Nail Art Tutorial: Sparkly Vampire Tips
Hi Lovelies! This manicure probably didn't need a tutorial because I consider it pretty straight forward to begin with, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Would you like to see more tutorials? Less tutorials? Only for complicated techniques? I don't want to spam you with tutorials, but at the same time I'm having fun making them at the moment! :)
The tutorial goes along with a manicure that I posted yesterday inspired by the InDecisive Lacquer polish and name Sparkly Vampire. I keep thinking a vampire would love a mani like this! Or maybe it is just because the tips remind me of fangs! Who knows, but I really enjoyed wearing this and I hope you enjoy this tutorial...

Supplies used:
- Polishes: InDecisive Lacquer Sparkly Vampire, SinfulColors Black on Black
- Red hex glitter (mine is from the Born Pretty Store, part of a set. Item #3103)
Instructions:
- Apply desired number of coats of your red polish. Here I used 2 coats of InDecsive Lacquer Sparkly Vampire.
- Paint a corner of the nail using black. Depending on the length of your nails and how steep you want the final point to be, start at the edge of your nail and swipe toward the center of the tip. Don't worry if the line is not perfect since you will be covering it with glitter!
- You can do this using either the polish brush or a detail brush for more control.
- Additionally try marking a dot on the side and the tip of the nail to help guide if necessary.
- Repeat step #2 and paint the second corner of the nail. Again don't worry about making this perfect since you will be covering it up with glitter.
- Apply a coat of clear polish (to adhere the glitter) and arrange the red glitter along the edge between black and red polish as shown above, to create a glitter chevron.
- Seal with a top coat and enjoy!
Thanks for looking!

Jonesy Lou Lacquer Fleur
Hi Everyone! Today I would like to show you another Jonesy Lou Lacquer beauty and some nail art that I had fun creating to go along with it. I'm not quite sure what my inspiration was for this look other than I really wanted to try out New Beat that I showed you yesterday for the leadlight technique and this seemed to be the perfect opportunity...
