Fashion Friday: Louboutin Python Inspired

Hi everyone! It has been quite a while since I've created a fashion inspired manicure so with my nails about the maximum length I wish them to be, it was time for Louboutin nails. I have done the "classic" black Louboutin before, so I wanted to try something new. For those that don't know, a Louboutin manicure is one where the underside of the nail is painted red to mimic the soles of the shoes...

The manicure was inspired by these gorgeous python pumps... pardon me while I regain my train of thought after staring at these...

For the base polish I used Sinful Colors GoGo Girl and stamped it with Zoya Carey. The stamping plate is Mash-42 from their new set. The pattern of the scales isn't quite the same, but it is the closest that I have for now. I love how it turned out...

Sinful Colors GoGo Girl is a bright pinup red jelly. Application was very easy, no dragging or bald spots. Three coats was enough to hide most of the nail line, but it is still faintly visible. The swatches are from about a week ago when I wore it on its own. It looked great at first, but after a day it looked cheap. Does that make any sense?

  5. Very cool! I would love to do a louboutin mani, but I'm scared to paint the underside of my nail, and not be able to get the all of the color out when I take it off!

  7. You lost me at Louboutin lol! This is great but I would have done a grey base with red scales since that's how the scales on the LP's look. Darn I have purposely avoided looking at Loubies for a while now as to not create any craving but those LP's....

@Angie, removal is not as bad as it seems. Just stay away from staining polishes. That could be a mess :)

@Lacquer Lockdown, sorry for the new cravings! :)
That is so interesting that you would reverse them. When I look at it, I see the red glowing from underneath the gray. It doesn't help that I don't have a good stamping red, so I couldn't reverse even if I wanted to :)

  13. you need to give a tutorial on how to pull this off, if you haven't already. I saw Adele had this look at an awards show and i thought i looked to cool. Yours looks just as amazing, if not more so. :)
