Barielle: Dazzling Diamonds Collection

Today I have some beautiful glitter topcoat polishes to show you from the new Barielle Dazzling Diamonds collection. For the swatches, I layered most of them over polishes from the Barielle Some Like It Hot collection that I showed a few days ago. These are all fun, versatile and can be layered over lots of different colors...

Stardust (over Barielle Surf's Up)
A milky base with small color shifting glitter. Most prominent colors are blue, green, yellow and orange. I used one thick coat for the swatches here. It is easy to apply and the glitter distributes well on the nail. Very sparkly in real life...

A bit of a close up. Again sorry for the blue cuticles, they were stained by Surf's Up that I used for the base polish for this...

Bottle shot... so pretty...

Pink Diamond
Small densely packed pink glitter in a clear base. One coat of this can be easily worn over a base color as a top, but I wore it on it's own. It took three coats to build up to the opacity as you see here (no visible nail line). Application and formula are very nice...

Cherry Blossom Sparkler (over Barielle Life of the Party)
A small pink glitter in a red jelly base. The glitter appears to be the same as that of Pink Diamond except it is in a colored base and not nearly as dense. Two coats of this over the pink Life of the Party, slightly deepened the base color, but not as much as I expected. Very nice distribution of glitter...

Ebony Rainbow (over Barielle Gotta Have Fate)
Small multi-colored glitter in a clear base. Hard to list all the colors, but ones that jump out at me the most are blue, green, fuchsia and orange. Application is similar to the other polishes, very nice coverage. Swatches here are two thin coats over Gotta Have Fate...

Purple Hearts (over Barielle Sunshine)
A clear base with small silver and duochrome glitter as well as larger purple hex glitter. This is my favorite out of the whole set. It sadly arrived partially dried out (about 1/3 gone) so I had to revive it with some polish thinner. Because of that I cannot comment on the formula or application. I used two coats for the swatches here over Sunshine...

Just look at all that pretty glitter...

I would love to know what you think of these! Are you a fan of glitter top coats or do you like to use them on their own?

P.S. What do you think of including bottle shots? Would you like to see more of them?

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

  1. They look gorgeous and I think we need to get the right base color so the glitters will pop more prominently. I am loving the bottle shot too since some polishes really look gorgeous and would be a shame missing out the bottle shot.

Would love to see more bottle shot and your lovely nail art <3 Btw can we actually use glitter as a stamping color? Just curious if it will work <3

  3. Pretty. Nice combos you did with the base shades. I am pretty much on a no buy of glitters now. I have more than I ever will wear - and find I don't wear them that much because of the removal issue...plus oddly I get tired of looking at them super fast and want even a still good mani off in 24 hrs.

  5. @Samantha, Thank you! I will try to include more bottle shots in posts with glitter or complex polishes. As for stamping with glitter, it wouldn't work too well since the glitter is too large and would just get scraped off the plate. Although no one ever said you can't add glitter after stamping :)

@beachgal, I agree, removal is a pain, but I just the foil method and it comes off easily. The problem is it is time consuming to wrap all the fingers...

    @Tina, thank you! :)

@Karen, thanks so much! I'm glad you like them :)

  8. love pink diamond, its more a golden pink than regular pink or is that just the picture?

  9. @Crystal, it is a very light coppery or rose gold pink. It is definitely not a bubblegum bright pink. The photos (at least on my monitor) are accurate compared to real life. Hope this helps :)
