For this manicure, I started out with a base of Maybelline Sunshine and stamped with Bundle Monster plate BM-316 using Zoya Dovima. Dovima is a black matte polish and generally matte polishes tend to dry quickly which made me nervous to stamp with it, but it turned out well. Unfortunately, even though it stamped well, it did not turn out as as dark as had hoped it would...
To accent the manicure, I used a small yellow flower which I got from the Born Pretty Store. Again, I was hoping that the stamping would turn out darker, so the flower would pop better against the dark, but I guess that just gives me an excuse to try and create the mani I have in my head again...
The dried flowers from The Born Pretty Store come in a set of 12 little jars. Six jars with small single flowers and six jars with larger cluster flowers. I've used the cluster flowers already here and thought it would be fun to try out the single flowers...
Each jar of colorful single flower jars contains 5 little flowers. I somehow got lucky and ended up with six yellow ones. They are such a cute little accent to a manicure...
Maybelline Sunshine is a bright yellow cream. It starts out a bit streaky and thin, but builds up and evens out nicely with three coats. It dries slightly darker than the bottle color. This is three coats with a top coat...

As a final note, I would like to say how amazing Bundle Monster customer service is. When I purchased my 3rd set, a few of the plates had issues, one of them being the BM-316 with the pattern used today. It is lightly warped and makes a clicking sound like a bottle cap. I was not able to get a clean image with it and upon emailing Bundle Monster they sent out a replacement right away with no questions asked. This is quite a refreshing change from a certain other manufacturer that insisted their plates "should" stamp well despite the fact that I was having issues with them. It is something I will consider very strongly when making future purchases. I'm really impressed with Bundle Monster!
I'd love to know what you think of this!
Thanks for looking!

Beautiful! I actually really like that it didn't stamp as dark, it looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis mani turned out really pretty even if it wasn't what you intended to begin with.
ReplyDeleteOh and I concur on BM's awesome customer service, I too experienced the good side of it.
Wow! I have played with some loose flowers but but his soooo lovely!!!! It looks like the BornPrettyStore set comes with more of the 'single/small' flowers in the set in comparison to the MASH dried flower set that comes with only two shades of the "single/small' flowers... totally going on my to try list! (but I keep saying that about your blog... I might call my blog "what I saw Anutka do" blog ;)
ReplyDeleteI liked that it didn't stamp very dark- turned out so well!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is super cute!! I LOVE the polish colour sooo much~!!
ReplyDeleteSo perfect! I need this Maybelline, yellow is my favorite color ♥ Your stamping skills make me jealous, lol
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! I think the lighter color looks brilliant even if you intended to have a darker stamp! I had a few problems with my BM sets as well and every time BM stepped up ti the plate quickly and efficiently. I love that company :)

Whoaow, I was wondering how you had stamped those crisp yellow lines... the "darkening" effect of the Zoya is a small miracle!
ReplyDeleteAnd those BM plates are beautiful!
Oh my God! That's so pretty! If it was a dark brown with some creme stripes it would look like a chocolate truffle! Loved it!
ReplyDelete@Julie, thank you so much! I love the BM plates too and am so glad you like the manicure :)
ReplyDelete@Giuka, a chocolate truffle would be so yummy looking! I'll have to try it sometime! Thank you :D
