OPI Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 - Part 2

Hi Everyone! Today I would like to show you the remainder of the OPI Mariah Carey Holiday collection. You can see my swatches of the 1st half here and the liquid sand shades here. As a whole, this collection is really beautiful and gives us some gorgeous shades in a variety of finishes. Take a look at the swatches and let me know which are your favorites...

Warm Me Up
A grayish taupe shimmer. It is a bit streaky and runny on the first coat, but builds up to nice coverage by the second coat. A really nice, cozy shade. I think the name really fits this one. Swatches are with a top coat...

Wonderous Star
A clear base filled with champagne gold flakes and black hex glitter. This is a really unique and fun shade. My bf said it resembles poppy seeds, but I think it looks like one of Mariah's dresses. It is easy to apply with good glitter distribution. At three coats you can barely see the nail line through the flakes. Swatches are with a top coat...

OK, you be the judge, do you think it resembles this dress?...

All Sparkly and Gold
A sheer brown base filled with micro gold glitter. This is a really interesting shade, I can't think of anything similar in my collection and I really love how this one looks. The formula very nice. I applied three thin coats for these swatches. It dries matte and is quite top coat hungry so I used two layers of top coat for these swatches...

Sleigh Ride for Two
A chestnut brown with a plum shimmer. It has a bit of a dusky blurred appearance even with a top coat. I honestly didn't expect to love it as much as I do. It is the perfect Fall/Winter shade and even my bf commented on how good this looks, which considering how often I change polish, he rarely feels the need to comment. It has a great formula and applies smoothly. Two coats provides full coverage. Swatches are with a top coat...

Ski Slope Sweetie
A sheer base filled with gold and iridescent glass flecks. This is really gorgeous and I'm glad my nails are not stained at the moment so I could show it to you directly on the nail. If the sheerness bothers you, it can easily be layered over a cream or pearly white. For a gorgeous pop of gold, try layering this one over black! It applies easily and spreads evenly. I've got three coats plus a top coat in these swatches...

I Snow You Love Me (layered over OPI Warm Me Up)
A clear base with sequined-looking circle glitter. The glitter itself is flat, but has a design which makes it look 3D as it catches the light. It is really interesting and I know I will be using this glitter for accents again and again. I chose to do simple glitter placement for my swatches because applying it with a brush out of the bottle results in just a few glitter pieces randomly on the nail and I don't particularly like that look for myself. Glitter placement is over OPI Warm Me Up and topped with a top coat...

A peek into the bottle...

  1. I have never seen that dress before but I have to agree, I definitely think it was the inspiration for Wonderous Star. I also love how you used I Snow You Love Me.

    1. Thank you very much! I'm glad you agree on the dress inspiration! If it wasn't the inspiration than I don't know what was :)

  2. I have Warm Me Up, Cute Little Vixen (love the name), I Snow You Love Me and My Favorite Ornament. I agree that 'Warm me up' is cozy. That with the glitters will be my next mani. 'My Fave Ornament' is so sparkly and glitzy and I couldn't stop staring at it on my nails.
