Happy 4th of July!

Wishing all of you who celebrate a safe and happy holiday!

I got home from work this morning with a strong urge to create a manicure for the occasion. Since I will once again be working tonight and missing all the fireworks and festivities, I needed something to put me in the holiday mood. On a whim, I decided to try my luck with a water marble and I'm so glad I did because I love how this it out...

For the water marble, I used three OPI shades: Coca-Cola Red, Int'l Crime Caper (sheer iridescent), and I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw (blue), marbled over a white base to make the colors pop. The iridescent shade didn't show up quite as I had hoped, and although I can see a bit of the shift in person, it didn't show up at all in photos. To add a bit of sparkle, I topped it off with Essence Let Stars Rain Down on Me!, which is a clear polish with tiny holo glitter...

Truthfully, I'm a bit shocked that I was able to water marble while tired after work. I'm going to consider it sheer luck at this point, but definitely feeling inspired to keep practicing until it isn't quite such a nerve wracking experience :)

I added a metal star stud from Born Pretty Store, as a small accent...

I hope you enjoyed this manicure and I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

    1. Me to, usually! I've been having just a bit more luck lately, but I don't know what to attribute that too... and I've probably just jinxed myself. LOL :)
