Tempting Half Moons...

I had a really bad dream last night, I dreamt that I was filing my nails and I went too far. I'm talking all the way down to nubs on my index... of my swatching hand. Oh I know, the horror! I don't know how long I spent trying to figure out ways to remedy the situation with all sorts of crazy ways to fix it. I finally woke up and realized it was just bad dream. Now I sit here wondering if my subconscious is trying to tell me something. Have I lost my mind? Inhaled too many polish fumes? Have you had any crazy nail dreams?

Crazy dreams aside, I'd like to show you a manicure that I created with Glam Polish Temptation. I love the purple and gold combo (and not just because those are the colors of my alma mater), so I had to play them up with a little bit of stamping...

For this manicure, I used Glam Polish Temptation on all the nails except for the ring finger which is Essence A Piece of Forever. I really love this shade of gold, it is one of my favorites. I accented the ring finger with a half moon of purple rhinestones and gold bullion beads...

For the stamping, I used Maybelline Bold Gold (70) and Mash plate Mash-55. I love the look of stamped half moons, but they are such a pain to line up properly. I always struggle to get them centered and all at the same depth. One of these days I will master the technique. I wish the stampers had grid lines so I could aim properly. Hmmm...

I'm still not sure what I think about the accent nail. It makes me think of a gold tooth ...

Until next time! Thanks for looking!
