Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Collection - Part 1

Today I would like to show you one half of the Nicole by OPI Selena Gomez Collection. This is a new collaboration for 2013 which features 14 fun shades. The seven shades, which I'm showing you today, include bright creams and shimmers. The rest of the collection is made up of beautiful glitter mixes which are perfect for layering. I will have those swatches up tomorrow, but for now take a look at these lovelies...

Selena - "This fresh, young peach will make your heart sing."
A peachy pink cream with a touch of a micro shimmer. The formula on this one is a bit thick for my personal preference, but still manageable and can easily be thinned. Opaque at two coats, but I ended up using three for the swatches to even everything out. Very pretty and sweet. Swatches are with no top coat...

Hit the Lights - "This not-so-mellow yellow has got stage presence."
A bright primary yellow cream with a micro shimmer. This is not the easiest color to pull off, but I love it. The shimmer is very subtle and hardly noticeable in the bottle, but I think it adds a touch of softness on the nails. Formula is very nice and smooth, not streaky. Two coats for full coverage and no top coat in the swatches...

Love Song - "Fall head-over-heels for this true purple."
Medium purple cream with a hint of shimmer. The shimmer in this is similar to that in the two polishes above. It is hardly seen, but very nice never the less. Formula is nice and creamy, very easy to apply. Fully opaque in two coats. Swatches are with no top coat...

Naturally - "Who wouldn't want this pure pink dream?"
Bubble gum pink with a hint of shimmer. Again, the shimmer in this cream is very subtle and pretty. The formula is also nice and smooth. Two coats for full coverage with no top coat in the swatches...

Spring Break - "The perfect hot pink for the perfect hot vacation!"
A bright fuchsia pink cream. Great full coverage with two coats. No problems with the formula or applications. It is very nice, smooth and easy to work with. This will be perfect in the spring and summer. Swatches are with no top coat...

Pretty in Plum - "This picture-perfect purple is a genuine beauty."
A plum purple shimmer. Great smooth formula with minimal visible brush strokes. It is very pigmented and opaque at just one coat. I used two coats for the swatches out of habit. This pretty plum has a beautiful glow that seems to come form within. Swatches are with no top coat...

Scarlett - "This shimmery red-violet is leading lady lovely."
A cherry red with golden shimmer. It appears to be made up of tiny flecks of red and gold. I don't see much violet as the description might suggest. Great coverage at just two coats and the formula is very nice. It is gorgeous and fiery. Swatches are without a top coat...
