I used the same polishes this time around as for my first bloody manicure attempt. The base of the manicure is OPI My Very Fist Knockwurst. The "blood" is Zoya Sam, thinned out with some polish thinner for easier splattering. Thinning it out, however, made is lighter than I would have liked. Maybe next time I will try for a deeper red to splatter with so when it is thinned out the color will hopefully be just right. For splattering I used a disposable plastic pipette...
Even thought I was reluctant to clean up, there is no way I'd be able to pull that look off at work (unless maybe on the 31st itself), so I had to clean up. Here is what it looks like...
I'd love to know what you think of this! Let me know in the comments below :)

ReplyDeleteI love it!! Totally awesome before the clean-up, but yeah, I can see how it might raise an eyebrow or two at work. It looks fantastic all tidied up too. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I wish you would have kept the messy nails though...for the costume itself that would have been EPIC!!! I'm gonna try this.
ReplyDeleteThis one is even better than the previous one :D
ReplyDeleteLooks great! I've been wanting to try this too.

ReplyDeleteI love it! It's too bad you had to clean it up! You should definitely do it again on Halloween! Gross and awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love blood splatter manis! I just finished day two of this challenge so mine is coming up next. Hopefully it looks this good.
ReplyDeleteDang! I love this blood-spatter pattern manicure. Dexter would love it, too. I must do it.
ReplyDeleteThank you ladies! I'm so glad that you like it and I didn't freak too many of you out :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to try something similar for Halloween when I don't have to do the clean up :D
And welcome those of you that found me through Marta's tweet! She is the sweetest :)
awesome, and so... bloody :D
ReplyDeleteThese look really great! I still can't do a real splatter to save my life!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Thrilled that the bloody effect came across well. I used a cheap plastic pipette for the splatter, straws seem so messy! :)
