This is the manicure that almost broke my printer... yes, printer. It would have been a very expensive manicure had it actually stopped working. It all started when I saw some adorable cats that I wanted on my nails. I realized I could never do such detail freehand, so one thing led to another and my printer almost didn't make it. It is still spitting out pieces of plastic with every page it prints... Don't ask...
I started out with Sinful Colors Tapping Nails and I did manage to get enough cats for one manicure...
My bf loves the big fat one on the ring finger and I can't decide which I like best :)
What about you?
Here are the inspiration cats. I found it on 123rf.com
Thanks for looking!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much everyone!
ReplyDeleteThe fat cat is fun :)
@Biba, I wish they had a plate with these! My printer would sure be thankful! Plus, I hate knowing that I can never do this again :(
how exactly did you accomplish this mani? what did you print on? I feel like i'm missing something lol
ReplyDelete@Danielle, you are not missing anything... I printed these using a computer and printer. I just didn't go into detail because it nearly broke the printer and I wouldn't recommend it at all... :D
ReplyDeleteI like the skiny cats! ~ Alla

ReplyDeletebtw, you have a new follower! Your blog is lovely!
Thanks so much and welcome! I hope you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about trying the newspaper transfer technique? I think that would work. Instead of printing onto plastic, print the images on regular paper but on the darkest setting on your printer. Then use a little rubbing alcohol on your nails, and press the image where you want it. If it works for newsprint, I'm 99% sure it will work for inkjet printed images. I plan on trying this when the tribal nails comes up in my own 31 day challenge. =)
ReplyDelete@Tonya, I have tried and been unsuccessful with the newspaper technique. It is on my list of things to try again! I have a laser printer, not inkjet, which is where I think my problem was to begin. I don't think it would work for a newspaper transfer technique either. Good luck with your tribal print, I will have to see how it works for you :)
