I hope you all have had a lovely weekend! Mine was half dreary and rainy and half sunny and gorgeous. There was no in between as though the weather just couldn't make up it's mind. I took the opportunity during the gloomy times to sneak away into my polish cave and cheer myself up by playing around with nail art. I changed my manicure, not once, but gasp twice in those two days. Lately as you know that's unheard of for me. In any case, one of the manicures was this attempt at playing around with nail vinyls...
For the manicure, I used:
- Dance Legend Sonya from the Binary collection
- Essie Good as Gold
- Whats Up Nails French Tip Tape, Skinny Chevron Tape and Regular Chevron Tape
- Gold studs from Born Pretty Store
Whats Up Nails French Tip Tape appears very straight in my manicure, but it does indeed have a curve to it. For a traditional french tip manicure, it would work best with square or squared oval (squoval) nails, but since I wasn't going for a traditional french tip, they worked well enough with my rounded nails.
Dance Legend Sonya
A deep teal with a very subtle pearly shimmer. The shimmer is barely there and only noticeable on very close inspection, but I think adds softness to the shade. It has a good formula with full coverage at two coats. It was a bit of a pain to clean up around the cuticles and I was worried that it would stain the nails, but I'm happy to report that it did not stain! That's always a worry for me. Swatches were done with the Binary Top Coat which promises longer wear and shine. The shine I can definitely attest to, but at least in this case, I did not get the chance to test the wear time. It is the perfect Fall shade and I'll definitely be reaching for it again very soon.
Thanks for looking!
