Barielle Carnival Fiesta Collection

Today I have swatches of the new Barielle Carnival Fiesta collection to show you. This is a brand new collection released for the holiday season. It is filled with amazing beauties from shimmers to duochrome to gorgeous color shifting flecks. I'm having a hard time picking favorites, so take a look at the swatches and judge for yourself...

Wanna Samba?
A pewter gray to purple duochrome shimmer. I don't think it can get any better than gray and purple in one polish except maybe if the color shift was more pronounced. Really though, I love this one. It starts out sheer, but surprisingly builds up to full coverage at two coats. No problems with the formula or application. Tiny brush strokes are visible up close, but nothing drastic...

Linday's Dancin'
A darkened red shimmer. The color is not unique, but it is a classic and a popular one during the holiday season, so a perfect fit in this collection. The formula is great, two coats for full coverage. In case you missed it, it was the base of my Bling! manicure just a few days ago...

Jillian's Jammin'
A jelly teal base with blue to purple color shifting flecks. My camera tends to have trouble capturing these types of polishes so look closely around the nail edges to see the purple. The jelly base makes this a sheer one. At three coats it provides good coverage of the nail line, but the free edge is not well covered even with wrapping with each coat. It would be perfect for layering over a similar teal or blue or black.. OK, spoiler alert, this looks amazing over black and I have a manicure in mind that I'll show you soon...

Can you see the purple flecks?...

Holiday Madness
An olive green with a strong gold shimmer. This might be my favorite out of the collection although it has some strong competition for sure. I'm getting distracted just looking at the swatches as I type this. Something about this color is so striking to me. Formula is great, two coats for full coverage and no problems with application. It does show a bit of brush strokes so apply carefully to avoid wonky lines.

Rio's Rockin' Bands
A purple magenta metallic frost. The formula on this one is very nice in terms of application, but out of all these polishes, it shows the most brush strokes. Tread lightly and it should not be a problem. Formula is nice otherwise. Two coats for full coverage. This works beautifully for stamping, see my stamping test below...

As I was swatching these beauties, I had a suspicion they would work for stamping so I had to try them out in a little test over black (Sinful Colors Black on Black) and white (Wet 'n Wild French White Creme). As you can see, they all stamp well. Linday's Dancin' and Rio's Rockin' Bands work the better over light colors versus the other two. All work well over black. The red is probably least noticeable in real life. Holiday Madness is my favorite over black, a gorgeous olive gold. And if you are curious, I stamped these with Cheeky Jumbo plate B...
