Berlin There Done That
A great neutral taupe cream. Formula is very nice and smooth although a bit sheer to start with. I needed three coats for full coverage. No top coat in the swatches...

Danke-Shiny Red
A nice metallic red with a red shimmer. Great formula with full coverage in just two coats. It tends to darken toward the edges of the nail. I believe this is nearly identical to Zoya Elisa from the fall collection. Swatches are with no top coat...

Deutsche Want Me Baby
A burnt orange shimmer. Two coats for full coverage and the formula is great. I am crazy about this color. I thought I would never say that about an orange polish, but OPI has got me saying it twice with both this polish and Luxurious for the DS collection. Something about it just makes me crave a pumpkin scone. Anyone else get that or just me? Swatches are without a top coat...

Don't Pretzel My Buttons
A soft beige cream. Nice formula with full coverage in just two coats. This may sound silly, but sometimes a color as "boring" as beige can make me feel sophisticated. Maybe because it is so close to my skin color and it seems to lengthen and extend the fingers. I love it even more in person than on these swatches. Again, no top coat here...

Don't Talk Bach to Me
A chartreuse, leaning toward yellow with a slight shimmer. It is the silvery shimmer that makes this unique. I'm always scared of this color and never expect to like it, but somehow it always surprises me. This has a nice formula. I used three coats for the swatches here, although a careful two would have been enough to cover the nail line. No top coat...

Every Month is Oktoberfest
A dark vampy plum with a strong shimmer. The base of this is blue and is most evident on the first coat. By the second coat it is all darkness. I had a hard time capturing the shimmer in my swatches and I blame my nails. You see they have no curve whatsoever. If anything they curve slightly up at the tips. I have obviously learned to live with it, but a polish like this just begs for curved nails. On my flat nails it falls flat (especially in swatches). In real life it still glows as it catches the light...
To show the gorgeous shimmer, I snapped a few pics outside, where the shimmer didn't stand a chance of hiding. So pretty, I could wear it year round...

Beautiful, beautiful swatches!! I picked up a few from this collection and i love every single one!
ReplyDeleteThat purple is making me drool!!
ReplyDeleteI have seen these swatched a few times now but your swatches make me want to pick some of these up- gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute colors, perfect for fall... and don't belittle your nails. They look super healthy and beautiful! Who needs a super C Curve anyway, :).
ReplyDeleteYour swatches are always so pretty! Out of these I only picked up Every Month Is Oktoberfest, but now I think I need Deutsche Want Me Baby, it look like a beautiful orange and I love those! :)
ReplyDeleteYour swatches are beautiful! Berlin looks awesome on you. After living in nothing but neutrals for years, I have suddenly turned away from them and been loving brighter or dark shades. Berlin might change my mind after seeing it on you. Of all of these, Oktoberfest is a definite must-have for me. And, I like the shape of your nails; mine have the curve and I find it annoying at times. ^^
ReplyDelete@Gosia, Thank you so much! There are lots of beauties in this collection. I'm glad you found some to take home and love :D
ReplyDelete@Jill Tastic, Me too! I'm wearing it right now and just love it when the sun hits it :)
@Phoebe, Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like them. :)
@Gabby, Thank you! You are so sweet. I do like my nails most of the time, but some aspects of them drive me nuts. Probably only because they are my models here on the blog and sometimes don't behave ;)
@Susy, The orange is so gorgeous! Just perfect for fall. I'm so glad you like the swatches. Thank you :)
@Isis04, I used to live on neutrals as well before I got into blogging. I still love them and wear them often. No need to cut any polish out of my life, be it neutral or color :D
And the nail thing is probably a "grass is greener on the other side" type of thing. I do love how curved nails look, but on the other hand it is easier to stamp on flat nails and nail polish strips are so much easier to wear. :)
Love the look of -Every Month is Oktoberfest-but it chipped right off the bat not like the others in the line like -German-icure.
ReplyDeletethank you for the swatches
I'm glad you like it! Sorry to hear it chipped for you. I tend to change my manicure too often to see and comment on how they wear :(
ReplyDeleteAnutka I don't mind putting more coasts on because I don't like when you can see nail beneath, but I am trying Seche Vite now too see if it better than Mega shine by Sally Hansen.. My hands are in water a lot and that my be the reason???
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if Seche Vite will provide a different result, but it is certainly worth a try. I think washing hands frequently will definitely cause a manicure to chip :(
