Jewel Tones

Hi Lacquer Lovers!

Today I've got another manicure to show you with a few of the Glam Polish beauties from the Coven collection which will be released tomorrow! The three of them, red to plum to purple, made such a lovely gradient that I felt the need to combine them in a manicure. I finally even found the time to play around with making decals. Although making ten of them was more time consuming than I remembered, it was definitely worth it in the end...

For the manicure I created reverse stamped decals using the following:

Polishes: Glam Polish Katrina Van Tassel (blood red), Madame Serena (plum), Magica De Spell (purple)
Stamping Plate: BP-L 003 from Born Pretty Store
Stamping Polish: Essence Colour & Go Icy Princess

I miscalculated and the manicure turned out more purple than I anticipated. Although I do love how it turned out, in hindsight, I wish I had reversed the colors to show off more of the red and plum shades. I guess there is always next time, right?

In the closeup shot you can really see the three distinct shades and how beautifully they transition.

Glam Polish Katrina Van Tassel
A vampy blood red jelly with scattered holographic flakies. Personally, I'm in love with this one. Like all the other shades in the collection, the flakies give it so much depth and an inner glow. It is probably my favorite red at the moment. Two easy coats for full coverage. Swatches are with a top coat...

Glam Polish Madame Serena
A plum jelly with scattered holographic flakies. Another beauty for all the purple lovers out there. This one again has an easy to apply formula. Two coats for full coverage. Shown here with a top coat...

All three Glam Polish shades in this post are part of the Limited Edition “COVEN” Collection
Hide your children and lock your doors our COVEN of Divine Sorceress’s are on the lose this fall and no one is safe from their Dark Power!
(Based on some of our favorite witches from TV & Movies)

  3. Wow, I like your polish so much. I like your ideas and sometimes make something like you in free time. I have long acrylic nails and often want something interesting and special on them. Your blog and sometimes http://nailartstyle.com/top-50-long-acrylic-nails page help me to create the best idea.. And where did you take this polish?
