Today I would like to show you a manicure that I created with another Glam Polish shade which will be releasing today. The pretty blue had me thinking nautical thoughts all week, but as soon as I got it on my nails the skies seemed to beckon. Certainly not a sky blue, but it still made such a pretty backdrop for a few clouds...
For the manicure, I used a base of Glam Polish Can't Help Falling in Love and stamped the clouds and girl from UberChic plate UC 2-03 using Essence stampy polish in white. At the moment this is my favorite stamping white and I'm dreading the day I run out since I can no longer find it locally...
It's difficult to see in the photos, but I added a bit of a silver lining to the clouds using Pure Ice Silver Mercedes and a tiny detail brush. Doesn't every cloud needs a sliver lining?! Had a planned ahead, I could have stamped the clouds in silver and then in white with a clear stamper which truly makes that possible now, but as usual my ideas come as an afterthought. It happens so frequently that I really should have named this blog Afterthought Manicures, but then again, that's a bit of an afterthought, isn't it?
Can't Help Falling in Love
An indigo blue with glass fleck and holo shimmer. Like the other lacquers that I have tried from this collection, it has a very nice formula which applies easily and has great coverage at 2 coats. Swatches are with a top coat...
Glass fleck shimmer such as this is one of my weaknesses, possibly even more than holo. I love the depth and complexity it gives the polish...
Can't Help Falling in Love is part of the The Glam Polish The King Collection Part 2, A Tribute to The Legendary King Of Rock N Roll, Elvis Presley.
Release Date: Friday August 5th, 2pm EST USA.

Love your post - amazing addition with that brush as always! ;) While I still adore your blog name, I did quite enjoy your afterthought insight! As much as I like to plan out designs, there is something satisfying about building them as you go too. The evolution is usually surprising. A silver lining, don't you think? :)
ReplyDeleteAww! Thank you so much! I do enjoy building manicures as I go also. It's always fun to add a little bit more and a little bit more as long as I don't go overboard. I'm always thinking I should make decals, but that takes too much forward thinking for me. LOL.
DeleteMy Essence Stamp Me White is almost done too! :'(
ReplyDeleteThey are so tiny to begin with too. We'll mourn their loss together then :(
