I'm so excited to finally find some time to show you this manicure. It has been taunting me for far too long, just waiting for me to edit the photos. The manicure is another one of my "lets see what happens if I just keep adding to it" creations. I intended to add just a little gold stamping over a purple base and somehow it lead to this...
To create this manicure, I started out with a plum colored base of Glam Polish Suspicious Minds and stamped a pattern from UberChic plate UC 9-01 using Maybelline Bold Gold. Somehow the pattern was a bit overwhelming for me and I decided to tone it down by filling in a couple of rows of diamonds in the same gold shade, just to break up the pattern. Then I further colored in the design using the beautiful blue Glam Polish Can't Help Falling in Love, which you can see in my previous post.
The design reminds me of gold jewelry with gorgeous gemstones... garnets and sapphires, anyone?
A closeup to show off just how poorly I manage to color within the lines. Good thing without such close inspection, you can't see my imperfections ;)
A quick swatch...
Glam Polish Suspicious Minds is a gorgeous plum with glass fleck shimmer. This shade has so much depth to it. A perfect vampy Fall shade. Two coats provides full coverage. The formula is very smooth and easy to work with. Swatches are with a top coat...
Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
