Wonderous Leopard...

I hope you are all still entertained by my archive of manis while I'm taking some time off. I created this manicure when reviewing the OPI Mariah Carey Holiday collection. I swear this lacquer was inspired by one of her dresses (see my original post for a pic), but the black glitters against the nude shade left me thinking of leopard spots...

For this manicure I simply drew a few 'c' shapes around the black glitters of the OPI Wonderous Star lacquer which was used for a base. I used black acrylic paint to do it, but black polish can be used just as well.

At the time I created this, I was not entierly satisfied with how this turned out. I loved the arrangement of the spots along just one side of the nail and how it looks from a distance, but as usual I was being overly critical of my sloppy detail skills. I was convinced I'd find the time to re-do this 'right' (ah, who am I kidding that is unlikely) and so this mani remained unposted until today. Coming back to it now, it doesn't seem as bad as I remember. Does that ever happen to you?...

I'd love to know what you think of this manicure!

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

  1. Yes! That happens to me a lot. I've always found that with any kind of art, you start to hate it the longer you work on it/look at it. Once you take some time away and see it with fresh eyes, it changes everything! Great mani. :)
