For removal, I followed the same technique that I use for removing glitter. I first soaked a piece of felt in my acetone+glycerin remover and applied that to the nail. Then I wrapped the fingers in foil
When the ten minutes were up, I unwrapped the foil. I expected the gel to transfer to the felt as polish would, but instead it curled up and away from my nail in a single, crumbling sheet. I was able to just flake it off the nail with my fingers...
Majority of the gel stayed in single pieces as I took it off. Please note that the felt I was using is pink, so what you see is the original color of the felt, not stained by the gel...
The ugly side under the gel... a nasty neon pink stain on my nails which almost brought me to tears. Luckily the toothpaste trick worked and I was even smart enough to actually take a few photographs of the process so I can show you a quick tutorial coming up...
I hope this helps!
UPDATE: See the tutorial for stain removal here...

Eewww I hate staining.. Thank god you manage to remove the stains.. Thanks for this removal post but I still prefer to stick to my normal polish.. Gel is not my cuppa tea.

I don't blame you! I don't think I will be using gel too often either, but it is nice for vacations to not have to worry about the manicure :)
