Royal Tigress!

Hi! Well this Monday is off to a wild start. My night shift at work was crazy and this morning hasn't improved. As I sit here trying to write this post before heading to sleep, the thought "it must have been a full moon or something" crossed my mind. Of course I just had to look it up and surprise, surprise! It was a full moon last night! That really explains so much...

Anyway, since the night has been so wild, I thought it might be appropriate to show you an animal print manicure that has been hanging out in my "to blog" folder for way too long...

For this manicure, I used two shades from the Dazzle Dry Oh To Be Royal collection. For all except the accent nail (ring finger) I used a base of Dazzle Dry Blue Blood. Then using Dazzle Dry Her Majesty and a small nail art brush, I free-handed the tiger stripes. The dense glitter of Her Majesty created a textured feel when dry and I loved the contrast against the smooth base so I chose not to add a top coat. For the ring finger, I used a base of Her Majesty and added a few dots using Blue Blood...

I looove how this manicure turned out. It has been a bit more than a month since I wore it and I'm thinking it is time for a repeat!

The texture...

Let me know what you think of this manicure!
I hope you all are having a good Monday :)

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

  2. Hi Anutka, this gives me an idea to try in the traditional black and white. Your colors look great for the holidays, though! You did a perfect job free-handing those stripes. I'll need to stamp them!

    1. Thank you so much Kirsten! They are both such strong colors on their own that I was nervous to pair them up, but I love how it turned out.

    1. Thank you so much! The glitter was surprisingly easy to work with and gave it a textured feel. I don't think I could get away with that kind of freehand with cream polish or acrylics :D
