Gold Foiled

Hi Lovelies! Early last year I had attempted to franken my own gold leaf top coat which didn't quite work out as planned (see my franken gone wrong post here). What I was left with was a bunch of gold leaf sheets and some 'real' gold leaf flakes that I purchased for a 2nd mini-trial. Until now the flakes have sat unloved next to the rest of my nail decorations. I finally got the inspiration to use them! Why you might ask? That's right because as I might have mentioned a billion and one times, in my world purple and gold belong together...

The base of this manicure is Dance Legend Anthem from the HoloDays collection. I'm definitely in love with this lacquer. It is a purple lover's dream. For the gold leaf accent, I shredded up the gold leaf flakes into smaller pieces and simply arranged them on the nails while the topcoat was still wet...

I wasn't so sure about this look at first, but I ended up loving it. As simple and easy as it is, I'll be wearing it again for sure...

I would love to know what you think of this mani!

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)
