Dazzle Dry Oh to Be Royal Collection Swatches and Review

Hi Lovelies! Today I'm excited to show you the new Dazzle Dry collection named Oh to Be Royal for this Winter season. It consists of six beautiful shades in a variety of finishes including cream, shimmer and glitter...

All these shades were swatched with the Dazzle Dry system, consisting of a special base and top coat that ensures quick dry time and long lasting wear. The system is very effective and easy to use. Since I've discussed it in previous posts, I will refer you back to those said posts. If you are already familiar with the system, let's dive right into the swatches...

2 Curtsy or Not
A dark mauve cream. This has a nice, slightly thicker formula. Although it was tempting to try and achieve coverage with a single coat, it actually worked much better and dried quicker when using thinner coats. This is trully a royal shade. I used two coats for full opacity...

Blue Blood
A black jelly base filled with duochrome glass fleck shimmer which shifts from blue to purple. It is fairly sheer on first coat, but builds to perfect coverage with the second coat. The formula is very easy to work with and apply. I'm a sucker for shades such as this and it is a beauty indeed...

The purple shift is best seen at the extreme angles...

Her Majesty
A sheer base packed with gold micro glitter. This is a gorgeous yellow gold shade. The glitter is very densely packed, but easy to apply. Two coats as seen below provide full coverage, which is so great. It is a sister shade to the copper glitter beauty named Tangled Up Tango in the Fall collection. It is impossible to capture the sparkle that is in this polish. I used two layers of top coat for my mani...

Rose Princess
A metallic rose pink shimmer. The formula is very nice and easy to apply. The shimmery finish means it does leave behind some visible brush strokes. I suggest a light hand and careful application to keep it looking neat. The metallic finish is very unforgiving to any flaws in the nail, but I ended up really loving this look. Not to mention that this beauty stamps well, but I'll show you that another time...

The Duchess
A raspberry red cream. The formula on this is very nice. It is slightly thinner than the other cream, 2 Curtsy or Not, in this collection. On first coat it is rather sheer, but does provide great coverage at two coats...

Your Highness
A sheer base packed with silver glitter. This is the same as Her Majesty above in terms of formula and application. The glitter is very densely packed to provide perfect coverage at two coats. It is sparkly beyond what photos can capture. Makes me think of scrunched up or shredded aluminium foil. Swatches are with two layers of top coat...

  3. Do you feel Dazzle Dry adds any strength to your natural nail? I'm looking for something to replace gel polish. Thanks!

    1. Dazzle Dry will strengthen your nails with use over time. It does not add thickness to your nails like gels do and I think that is what you are referring to. Dazzle Dry polishes look and feel like regular polishes, but last longer.
