Nicole by OPI Roughles Swatches and Review!

Every time I think that I've seen it all when it comes to texture, I'm happily surprised with new colors and effects. Such is the case with the Nicole by OPI Roughles (pronounced "ruffles") which I would like to show you today. These pastel matte textured shades are a refreshing change from the usual sparkle loaded or solid color textures lacquers. These are so sweet for spring. They make me think of yummy berry yogurt...

All of these lovely shades have a nice formula and easy application. They provide full coverage at two coats. I gave each of them at least an hour to dry to their final state before taking photos, however, they are dry to the touch and wearable sooner than that. I find that I got the best result when I let the first coat start to dry and turn matte (just a few min) before applying the second coat. Thick coats don't get as good of an effect as thinner ones. These swatches are with no top coat...

  1. Thank you for the wonderful swatches. Your photography is perfect and has captured the texture better than any other swatches I have seen of this collection!

  2. I like that you let the polishes dry fully before taking your pictures. I see so many photos of textured polishes where you can't see what the end result will actually look like. Great post!

  4. Your swatches look really pretty, but I think I'm not much into this kind of textured. BTW Kiko just released a 10 shades collection called Cupcake, and they look quite similar to these Nicole (the lilac one actually looks identical), the pastel textured trend spreads worldwide :-)
