Busy as a Bee!

Hi! I've been busy and sleep deprived a lot more than usual lately. Although I've been swatching and playing with nail art whenever I can, I've really been slacking when it comes to processing the photos! Just something about starring at the monitor after coming home tired from work is not sounding too appealing these days. Go figure! This is one of the manicures that I created while swatching the Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood collection and just haven't posted until now. I was inspired by the name of the polish, Sing You Like a Bee. As soon as I read the name, I knew I had to add some cute little bees to it...

For the manicure I used a base of Nicole by OPI Sing You Like a Bee. I stamped the adorable bees from Bundle Monster plate BM-301 using Essie Stamp Me! Black. I added the stripes for each little bee using yellow acrylic paint...

Bzzz... Looking at this mani now, I wish I had added a few musical notes around the bees to really match the name of Sing You Like a Bee. Oh well! I still think it is cute :)

I'd love to know what you think of this manicure! Don't hesitate to comment below!

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

    1. Thank you very much! I do love it w/o the notes too. It was just an afterthought and I guess meant to stay that way. Heh! :)

  5. Oh, I love the bees! And like the freehand painting you did on them. So neat! And love that base Sing You Like a Bee. Do you know if it is similar to China Glaze White Cap (which I have)? From some of the photos of the two, I see a lot of similarities but not sure.

Sounds like you may need to take a vacation from blogging every now and then. I can't begin to imagine how much effort it takes to do all the work involved in doing this blog, especially after coming home after a long day at (outside) work. Don't get so burned out you don't enjoy it anymore! It should be fun!

    1. Thank you so much! I'm glad you like my little bees! To be honest, I don't know how close it is to ChG White Cap since I don't have it. From photos I've seen, WC seems to be a finer shimmer and more sheer (maybe closer to OPI Ski Slope Sweetie). This NOPI has a bit of texture as it dries, although not as much as their Liquid Sand line.

Truer words couldn't be said. I do need to remember to take a break every once in a while or I will get burned out. Trouble is I seem to be an all or nothing type of person. I'm either always thinking about/working on the blog or I need to stop completely. I can't find a good middle ground. Sooner or later I'll have to take an extended break and not post anything for a while :)

    1. Thank you so much! The base name inspired the art for sure! I knew it needed some bees to go with that name :)
