For this manicure, I used a base of Nicole by OPI Promises in the Dark. I stamped the pattern from Messy Mansion plate MM29 using N.Y.C. Royal Foil. My full review of the plate is further down in the post, so make sure to keep reading...
I rotated the pattern in different directions for stamping so that no two nails are the same. The extra large stamping image makes this very easy to do. I'm so pleased with this color combination and how the whole manicure turned out. Elegant, but in a playful way...
Messy Mansion plate MM29
Plate MM29, just as all the other Messy Mansion plates, comes individually wrapped in a plastic package (not show). The plate has a blue protective film on the front which must be removed prior to use. The back of the plate is bare metal. This makes the edges a bit sharper than plates which do have a backing, but that being said, I have never hurt myself on any MM plates.
The plate itself measures 7 cm in diameter. This is quite a bit larger than the 'standard' plate size used by Konad, Bundle Monster and so many others...
The plate is very well etched, I have not had any trouble getting images to pick up. There are so many wonderful details here. You could say I chose the simplest image from this plate for my manicure today, but I was just getting my feet wet and testing out the plate since I want to think of something special with some of the other images...
The fish and seahorse are approximately 3.5 cm in length/height. They are meant to be stamped in pieces over multiple nails and I'm excited to do just that! I foresee some decal making in my future...
The full size patterns are BIG! 17x23 mm to be exact. Considering that a lot of plates have images which are 17 mm in height and are much narrower, you can imagine what a happy girl this makes me. Also, the images have so much detail that they look equally beautiful on short and long nails.
You can find Messy Mansion and other fun stamping plates on the Messy Mansion website...
I hope you liked this manicure! Let me know what you think of it in the comments below...
