Born Pretty Store Water Decals...

Today I would like to show you a manicure with floral water decals that I got for review from the Born Pretty Store. I have been smitten water decals for a while now and my obsession continues. It is such a simple way to dress up a manicure. This rose pattern mimics a one-stroke technique, but requires none of the skills or practice needed to achieve it freehand...

For this manicure, I water decals G027, which are pictured here on the right. I also got some pretty violet roses which I will show you another time and those are item H027. Each package contains one sheet of water decals with various rose patterns...

The directions are included on the back of each package. I followed these instructions for my application, although I did not blow dry them in the end...

The base for this manicure is Zoya Pepper from the Fall Cashmeres collection. I love the way the roses pop against the darker background. I would love to one day be able to paint roses such as these freehand, but for now, I will be happily content with using decals...

I'd love to know what you think of this manicure!

Thanks for looking!
Anutka :)

  2. Beautiful manicure! I prefer free hand drawing but some things you can never draw so good... I agree with you that water decals are such a simple way to dress up a manicure :-)

  3. Really gorgeous! Do you ever have difficulties sticking the water decal onto your nail? Are they easy to bunch together or are they no trouble to get them to remain flat? If not now, how about when you first used water decals? Thanks!

  4. Thank you very much everyone! I just love decals for the simplicity and the things that I really can't draw :D

@Delphi, I didn't have any problems with these bunching together. Make sure your nail is wet when applying them so that you can just slide the decal around to place it. If working with a dry nail, they will stick and can bunch up when you try move them. I usually actually stick my nail under water where the decal is soaking and slide the decal onto my nail while in the water. When I pull it out, I just adjust the decal and dab it with a piece of tissue to dry...
