To create this manicure I started out with a bit of Liquid Palisade (LP) covering the half moon of each nail. I must really be determined to see how manicures I can get out of the little tube since I seem to be using it a lot lately. I then painted the nails with Barielle Blue Capri (full swatches coming soon) and removed LP. Using a detail brush and OPI OPI...Eurso Euro, I added the dark blue collar. Using red acrylic paint, I added the red stripe for a belt and accented the belt with a gold rectangular stud from the BornPrettyStore. I painted the center of the stud using Barielle Big Apple Red. The 'buttons' are little gold studs that I got from Cult Nails a while ago...
Next to the inspiration character herself... :)

ReplyDeleteThese are sooo freakin awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! I am loving this! I actually bought that liquid palisades two years ago when I started blogging and it was a new product it did not work for me. I wonder if they improved it since then? Violet was my fave in the original. I also have a secret crush on Gene Wilder!
ReplyDeleteEmail me beauty@kiesque.com and I'll ship you a new LP to test out!! :-)
DeleteOk. Ill send you one now!
DeleteThank you so much everyone! I'm so glad that you like the interpretation. It was fun to create.
ReplyDelete@Fingers, I'm sorry to hear that LP didn't work for you. I don't know if they changed the formula, but I don't suspect that they have. In what way did it not work for you?
We made a few modifications to the container...we had an issue with brushes splaying...but it's fixed now :-)
DeleteThanks so much for the clarifications on the product changes/modifications! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Anutka for letting me know they replied to my comment. I don't usually go back and check ever!
