Before taking of the Mazzanotte Blue from Borghese that I have been wearing the last two days I decided to practice some stamping. After all, practice makes perfect ;)
I couldn't decide which plate to use (so many options all untried) so I started with the first plate in the series BM-201. For stamping I used Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Celeb City... any one else think that name is way too long?! Celeb City is a silver polish jammed full of glitter, shine, and sparkle. I have yet to try this one on it's own, but it looks promising :)
Since the stamps are too narrow for my thumbs when stamping vertically, I decided to try stamping my thumbs with the image in the horizontal position and then stamp above it again to cover the whole nail. Clear as mud? Anyhow, after the first stamp on the thumb, I liked the effect of my tips still being blue, so instead I painted all the tips in Mezzanotte Blue. As an added bonus it covered up some of the tip wear from the last two days. Yay!
This is Bundle Monster plate BM-201 that I used for this manicure. You can click to zoom in for more detail (on any of the photos).
So the stamping is still not perfect by my standards, some gaps near the cuticles, but I'm loving this manicure. Guess I'll won't be taking it off today after all :)
P.S. I just found out that I won a $50 Apothica gift card from Konad Addict! I'm so excited! I have never won a giveaway before... Any suggestions on what I should get? :D
