Happy Monday! I've had a busy weekend and sadly none of it was nail related. Luckily I do have a pretty manicure from last week to show you. I had been wearing the gorgeous InDecisive Lacquer Sparkly Vampire for a good part of last week before I decided to vamp it up a bit with glitter and black tips...

Nail Art: Blushing Roses with Polished by KPT Camellia and LilyAnna stamping...
Happy Weekend everyone! I'm having a late start to the day, but I wanted to show you this manicure that I created a few days ago. The idea for this came from nail art created by Amateur Manicure. If you are not already following her, then what are you waiting for? There is nothing amateur about her manicures, they are all incredibly gorgeous! In one of my favorites, she had the brilliant idea to stamp with white over black and then top it off with a sheer polish for color. She shows this off in her OPI Sheer Tinted Stamping manicure that left me speechless at the sheer genius of it. No pun intended! Easy pastels over black?! I'll be trying that with my Sheer Tints soon, but I'm getting side tracked...
Playing off the idea of topping white stamping with a sheer polish, I decided to try it out with a sheer thermal for a blushing effect..

Color Shifting Tribal Nail Art...
Hi Everyone! Today I would like to show you a quick tribal manicure that I created with one of the beautiful Polished by KPT thermals. For the design I had today's MoYou challenge in mind. The theme for today is 'geometric' and I decided the triangles, diamonds and other shapes which make up the pattern would be a perfect fit.

Polished by KPT March into Spring Collection
Hi Everyone! Today I'm excited to show you the March into Spring collection from Polished by KPT. The collection which launched a couple of months ago features five gorgeous floral shades. All of these shades are thermal and change color depending on the temperature of your hands and nails. To me this means that you get two colors plus a gradient nicely packed into one bottle. How can you beat that? ;)

Fashion Inspired: Red Ankle Boots...
I want to start out by saying thank you for all your lovely comments congratulating me with my 3 year bloggy birthday! I'm so touched by your sweet words and encouragement! I'm truly lucky to have such wonderful readers!! <3
For today, I would like to share with you another gem out of the unposted stash of manicures. I created it while playing around with the OPI Gwen Stefani collection. It was inspired by a pair of red shoes that kept popping up in the side ads of my Facebook page. I had seen the ad for days and finally it clicked (no pun intended) that I wanted to do something similar on my nails...

Gradient of Hearts Featuring Nicole by OPI Carrie Underwood Shades...
Hi! Valentine's Day is just a few days away so I've been playing around with pink polish once again. My boyfriend and I actually don't celebrate this holiday, but I have fun with themed manicures none the less. Anyone else like me out there? Don't celebrate it, but have fun making the manicures for it anyway?...

Sunday Stamping: Valentine's Day
It has been ages since I've participated in a Sunday Stamping challenge in the group Adventures in Stamping. Life has been busy and sadly fun challenges end up low on the priority list. Today's manicure isn't a new one, but it fits the theme of Valentine's Day for today's challenge so I'm taking the opportunity to show it to you...

Go Red for Women - National Wear Red Day!
Today I'm joining National Wear Red Day! This event aims to raise awareness of heart disease, the number one cause of death for women in the US! In addition to wearing red today, I obviously had to have a manicure to match. I was inspired by a small red dress pin which I purchased in support of the organization a long time ago. The pin that I have is the old design, but I have had for years and I'm reluctant to swap it out for the new style. I wear this pin on my lanyard to work every day...

Happy Chinese New Year!
I want to wish those of you who celebrate this holiday, a happy and wonderful new year! Although I don't partake in celebrating the Chinese New Year, I'm always fascinated by the beautiful traditions surrounding it and the meaning behind each year's animal sign. I wanted to create a bright and festive manicure to welcome the year of the Horse!

In My Santa Suit...
It doesn't happen often, but I was itching for a new manicure and at the same time I didn't want to part with the previous one, so I compromised... with myself. Yup! I'm pretty sure that's allowed/possible/not crazy at all. In any case, I changed most of the manicure while leaving my favorite ornament as an accent nail. I really like how this turned out and think that having the ornament as an accent nail makes it pop even more...

My Favorite Ornament
December seems to be flying by at rocket speed and I'm realizing that I don't have much time to execute a lot of the ideas that have been floating in my head. This is one such idea that I'm happy to have found the time to create. It was in one way or another inspired by a number of talented ladies, so I thank Beaching Nails for the idea of using nail studs for ornaments, Drama Queen Nails for the idea that studs can be painted with polish and Eeek! Nail Polish! for the idea of stamping onto rhinestones. Sheesh! Feels like I'm making some sort of acceptance speech here, but truly I learn so much from seeing everyone's manicures that even though my manicure doesn't resemble theirs, I did get the idea from their beautiful art. And now without further adieu, my ornament manicure...
