Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!
Today I would like to show you some quick nail art that I created using two of the Incoco designs from the Merry & Bright collection which I showed you yesterday. This manicure was inspired by Work / Play / Polish. I fell in love with her cup up triangles manicure using these two shades and just had to try it out for myself...

Snow woman...
I wanted to show you some nail art that I created while swatching the Elf-tastic Christmas collection by 365 Days of Color. I thought it would be fun to play off the snowflake glitter embedded in this beautiful gray polish by adding a few stamped snowflakes. Of course once there was snow, a snow woman decided that she would fit right in with her bright red hat, scarf and buttons...

Happy Ho Ho Holodays!
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates!
I have been having too much fun playing with nail studs lately and although I had something entirely different planned for today, this happened at the last minute and I love how it turned out. Truly I think often the best manicures are the spontaneous, unplanned ones...

In My Santa Suit...
It doesn't happen often, but I was itching for a new manicure and at the same time I didn't want to part with the previous one, so I compromised... with myself. Yup! I'm pretty sure that's allowed/possible/not crazy at all. In any case, I changed most of the manicure while leaving my favorite ornament as an accent nail. I really like how this turned out and think that having the ornament as an accent nail makes it pop even more...

Tutorial: Stamped Ornaments
As promised, I've got a tutorial for you on how I stamped my ornaments which were featured in my manicure this morning. This tutorial assumes that you are familiar with stamping and does not attempt to explain the details involved in that process...
Supplies:
Supplies:
- Various nail studs
- Polish for painting the studs
- Polish for stamping + desired stamping plate
My Favorite Ornament
December seems to be flying by at rocket speed and I'm realizing that I don't have much time to execute a lot of the ideas that have been floating in my head. This is one such idea that I'm happy to have found the time to create. It was in one way or another inspired by a number of talented ladies, so I thank Beaching Nails for the idea of using nail studs for ornaments, Drama Queen Nails for the idea that studs can be painted with polish and Eeek! Nail Polish! for the idea of stamping onto rhinestones. Sheesh! Feels like I'm making some sort of acceptance speech here, but truly I learn so much from seeing everyone's manicures that even though my manicure doesn't resemble theirs, I did get the idea from their beautiful art. And now without further adieu, my ornament manicure...

Time Well Spent...
Hi Everyone! I mentioned yesterday that I took last week off to get a bit of rest. I actually only painted my nails once during that time and I have to admit it was quite refreshing. I was only slightly tempted to catch up on swatching, but I resisted the urge. Instead, I spent time with family and friends. I even did a few manicures for my friends who visited. They each picked out the polishes and stamping images for their manicures.
My apologies in advance for the poor photo quality, but these were rushed and I must confess that I'm not very good at taking photos of other people's hands. Colors are not absolutely accurate.

A Transformation...
Last week I showed you a sheer little El Corazon Poly-Chrome beauty. As a rule of thumb I like to try the sheer shimmery shades over a black base and this was no exception. The beautiful brassy color that resulted did not disappoint. Accented with a bit of stamping, it was transformed from a delicate beauty last week to something much more bold today...

MoYou Stamping Plates
Today I would like to show you the MoYou London stamping plates that I recently added to my stamping plate collection. MoYou London (not to be confused with MoYou Nails) has taken the stamping world by storm. They feature some of the most unique designs I have seen and have quite an extensive assortment of themes and patterns. If that wasn't enough, new plates are released weekly to keep tempting us even more. If you follow me on Instagram than you may have already seen my excited post about this epic nail mail from MoYou London. Although only about 1/3 of these plates are mine (I purchased together with a couple of friends), I just had to show this awesomeness to you. Keep reading for a closer view of the 13 plates that I got...

Kaleidoscope Stamping...
This weekend I got an amazing package from El Corazon filled with beautiful polishes all the way from Russia. I cannot wait to show you all of the pretties that were sent to me. One of the polishes in the package was this purple Mirror metallic shade from the Kaleidoscope brand. I knew it would stamp perfectly and I was so excited to try it out that I stamped right over the manicure I already had on...

Sunday Stamping: Between Jelly Layers...
I decided to take part in today's Sunday Stamping challenge for Adventures in Stamping. The challenge for this week is to sandwich stamping in between layers of jelly polish. It sounded like a fun technique to try to give some depth to the manicure. This is actually my second attempt at this manicure. My first attempt was ruined by using a jelly that wasn't sheer enough. Turns out I don't have very many sheer jellies because I never felt I had a need for them. Now I'm on a quest to find more because this was messy but fun...
